The Android mobile game Robinson, released on December 16, 2011, hit the Korean T-Store Top.
T-Store is the largest local mobile application store run by the Korean telecommunications company SK Telekom. Soon after its release Robinson ranked second in the Top of app downloads. The number of installations has exceeded 537,000 over the last year.
South Korean players were fascinated by the idea of surviving on a desert island after a plane crash. Robinson has to construct a shelter, lay out a vegetable garden, make tools and tame animals. In other words, his goal is to build a personal paradise through overcoming various obstacles. He has access to 300 quests, 68 collections, 15 residential and functional buildings, and more than 20 species of animals and plants.
