The annual conference on Digital Marketing “Digital silicone free 2013” took place on November 29 at Digital October. Pixonic company, one of the largest Russian publishers, was among the participants. Top specialists – representatives of the brands have shared their experience and practical knowledge in the field of marketing communications. Reports concerning five key areas – strategy, social media, media mix in the digital, CRM and e-mail-marketing, online and offline- were presented.
COO Pixonic, Philipp Gladkov, gave a speech at the round table “The effectiveness of mobile advertising. High CTR, low conversion – what to do?” Key points of the discussion referred to games producers and brands interaction.
Philipp Gladkov covered the topic of developers expenses on mobile advertising and unprofitableness of these expenses: “Games greatly monetize users , people love to play! maximum – growing installation costs will consume independent developers and small studios.”
It was mentioned that there is no sharp competition between brands and games today: they face different challenges. Pixonic representative pointed out the main difference in their behavior in the digital space: “Developers intention is to earn money. As far as I can see brands intention it is to attract clients attention to their brand. Therefore it seems to me that some brands could learn from games developers how to get maximum coverage on their allocated budget.”
