War Robots x Sabaton Collaboration
The year of epic collaborations continues! This time, War Robots is joining forces with the Swedish heavy metal band Sabaton. This highly anticipated collab pays tribute to players’ passion for the legendary band, and coincides with the release of Sabaton’s new album Legends, with a selected track featured in a special in-game event. All this, along with other fresh content, is now available in War Robots with Update 11.5 across all platforms.
What to expect
The collaboration with Sabaton arrives alongside the Fire Storm in-game event, running from October 28 to December 9. A brand-new track from Sabaton, A Tiger Among Dragons, is featured as the soundtrack for players’ hangars in-game. The hangar design was inspired by the Legends album cover, and perfectly syncs with the atmosphere of War Robots – a world of steel, fire, and conflict.
“The main driving force behind the War Robots and Sabaton team-up is the community,” said Boris Burangulov, Producer of War Robots. “We regularly survey players to better understand their interests, and one of the recent surveys revealed that War Robots fans especially love rock and metal music. The real surprise came when the team checked the most-loved bands among the community: Sabaton topped the list – just as they do in the charts back home in Sweden. This inspired the team to reach out and create something special.”
“When Pixonic approached us with the results of that survey, the band was thrilled,” said Pär Sundström, bass player, manager and one of the founders of Sabaton. “It was humbling to learn that so many players chose us. We thought about the best way to say thank you. And here we are: with this little collaboration, we’re bringing one of our new songs straight to the hangars! We hope the players enjoy it.”
